Welcome
to Nobuntu Dyum's Home Page
|
| My village is thirteen kilometres away
from Lubisi and is on the western side of Cala. There are mountains
and rivers that attract people to visit. Our rivers provide us with
enough water, we decided to start irrigation schemes. |

Background
|
|
I am Nobuntu Dyum of Bumbana village in Cala. I was born in 1969,25
of July by Willy and Nomfundo Nkosana. I am married with one child.
We are nine at home and I am the fourth one. I am unemployed and
excellent in health.
In 1996 I got the certificate for dressmaking in Continental School
in Johannesburg. My tertiary education was done at the Academy of
Learning in Queenstown in June 2001. I passed the Administrative
Clerk diploma. At present I am the member of the Bumbana Community
Organisation and a chairperson.

Activities
|
| Dressmaking is what I always
do everyday. I sell sewing clothes to various places in Cala. During
holidays the business goes well, many people come and visit our centre
at Bumbana and buy our products on bulk. On Saturdays I work in Queenstown
at the Word of Life as a casual. I am the youth leader in my church
and the secretary too. Presently, I am attending the Lubisi Multi-Purpose
Community Centre training course. |

Ideals and long term objectives
|
| My objective is to keep my standard of living
better and for me, my family and my community. After three years I
wish progress to owning a car and a mansion, the necessities that
are luxuries to most of the Lubisi community. To give my son a better
education is my first priority, and intend to be a very successful
and a good business woman. |
