Renewable Energy

The aim of the project is to employ, and demonstrate the use of, leading edge technologies and renewable energy to enable and accelerate development in rural areas.

The Lubisi Dam project generates its own electrical power through wind energy. Two wind turbines that generate 3KW of power each supply power to the locally constructed centre.

The turbines have been running for more than 5 years and have helped facilitate local economic development in the area.
