Ethembeni Senior Primary School

You just can not believed it, it's a school. Learning is tremendously taking place here. Get inside and evaluate its learners and hear the best out comes ever heard.

It is a Primary School up to grade 7 class, newly established in 1994. Rapid growth has taken this school up to a supply of 7 teachers due to its roll. Some of the things that attract parents in this school:

  • the dedicated teachers in their work,
  • the democratical management of the school,
  • the introduction on technical & comercial subjects in this school,
  • the high involvement of learners in various extramural activities such as cricket, netball, soccer & rugby.

This school has 340 learners. The senior students of our institution who are involved in ensuring that there is discipline in the school.

Looking at our poorly established classrooms all this is unbelievable. That is our nightmare since it is hard for this school to install valuable equipment like machinery due to the unreliable school building conditions.

The principal of Ethembeni SPS is Mrs. Mashiyi who started this school in 1994, is so happy when looking at her school growing so rapidly.

Tuition:

Grade 1 with 58 learners ranging from 6 to 8 years of age.

Grade 2 with 45 learners ranging from 7 to 9 years of age. It is in this grade where there are two visually handicapped learners.

Grade 3 has 55 learners. This is a class with a difference, there are more boys than girls. If not controlled, boys like to dominate. The age group in this grade is between 8 and 11 years.

Grade 4 with 49 learners. In this class most of the learners like to do things on their own. They are showing their skills in things like drawing and making models using wires and other materials. The age group is between 9 and 12 years.

Grade 5 with 47 learners. This is the class with more interest in drama and dancing. Their age group is between 9 and 13.

Grade 6 has 51 learners. Traditional dance of our institution is dominated by learners from this grade.

Grade 7 with 35 learners.

School activities:

Learners are involved in various kinds of sport activities with the assistance of teachers. Activities like athletic sport, soccer, rugby, netball softball cricket ladies soccer & karate occur in the school. We would like to have base ball in coming time.

Our school staff and learners are very committed to develop the school by doing some of cultural activities like music, traditional dancing, sport, poetries, plays and others.

You can be pleased when watching them dancing and doing their cultural dance.
