Tsilitwa - March 2001

| The Department of Art, Culture,Science and
Technology promote the importance of Science, Engineering and Technology
to the public and especially all school children throughout the country,
especially in rural areas. |
| The ICT centres were opened up to all teachers, schoolchildren
and community members. The centre managers, trained by the CSIR, demonstrated
their skills in training learners and educators.
The CSIR promoted this event by having the Tsilitwa MPCC members
and teachers showcase their newly acquired PC skills to introduce
school children from surrounding schools to computers.

intereact with a computer.
During the Tsiltwa open day visiting members from a community in
Willowvale were impressed by the newly acquired skills of the Tsilitwa
MPCC.
