This health facility is situated at Tsilitwa location in the district
of Qumbu in the Eastern Cape.
The clinic was initiated by Tsilitwa community after having identified
the need for a health facility after an outbreak of Typhoid in 1981,
which claimed many lives.

built with funds raised by the community, in 1985. The clinic operates
from Mondays to Fridays rendering free primary health care services.

The clinic sister is unsure about a diagnosis of a skin conditon,
that the baby has. She takes a picture of the baby using her digital
camera and then downloads the image to her PC.
She then opens her email program and sends the image to a doctors
at UNITRA and copies the email to the department of health in Pretoria
for help with the diagnosis.
A tele-consultation in process with the Tsilitwa clinic
sister and a doctor from the Sulenkama hospital. This is done using
a voice and video link over a wireless network that forms an intranet
in the Tsilitwa and Sulenkama villiages.
